Benefits of Taking an Online Driving Improvement Course
Flexible Scheduling
Since the Driving Improvement Training course is offered online through a computer-based module, users can take the course at their convenience. You can also pause the course when you are unavailable and resume the course where you left off. This is a great alternative to those with busy work schedules, transportation issues, or childcare conflicts.
Same-Day DMV Reporting and Certification
Once you have finished your course, your results will be sent to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. You also receive a certificate of completion for your records.
Guidance for Under 20’s, Court and DMV
Ordered Candidates
Not all students are eligible for online instruction. If you are under 20 years of age and have been referred by the Virginia DMV or court-ordered, you must attend an instructor-led class.
We recommend all court-ordered and DMV referred candidates verify the eligibility of online driving improvement program courses with the court or with the Virginia DMV prior to taking the course. Eligibility guidance is generally provided in the court order or DMV referral letter.
